When will the Almarante Fire/Rescue station upgrades be complete? Construction is underway and will be completed by March 1.

Do you have a fire department patch that I can add to my collection?  We are working on the design for an embroidered patch now, but it may not be available until March 2008. You can reserve yours by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope along with a donation of at least $5.00 to:

The Almarante Fire District
3710 Old California Road,
Laurel Hill, FL 32567

Important note: The Almarante Fire District is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. Checks or money orders only, please do not send cash.

What does the ISO rating of 6/9 for Almarante Fire/Rescue  mean?  The Insurance Service Office (ISO) classifies communities from 1 to 10. Communities with the best systems for water distribution, fire department equipment and firefighting personnel, and fire notification facilities receive a rating of 1. The rating has a direct bearing on the cost of property insurance for every home and building in the Almarante Fire District. The ISO Class 6/9 for Almarante Fire/Rescue is up from 9/10 in 2005.
